Marguerite Caine’s physicist parents are known for their radical scientific achievements. Their most astonishing invention: the Firebird, which allows users to jump into parallel universes, some vastly altered from our own. But when Marguerite’s father is murdered, the killer—her parent’s handsome and enigmatic assistant Paul—escapes into another dimension before the law can touch him.
Marguerite can’t let the man who destroyed her family go free, and she races after Paul through different universes, where their lives entangle in increasingly familiar ways. With each encounter she begins to question Paul’s guilt—and her own heart. Soon she discovers the truth behind her father’s death is more sinister than she ever could have imagined.
A Thousand Pieces of You explores a reality where we witness the countless other lives we might lead in an amazingly intricate multiverse, and ask whether, amid infinite possibilities, one love can endure.

Plot: ★★★★★
The plot was what immediately drew me
in months before this book was even released! I mean, come on, the ability to
cross through parallel universes to hunt down her fathers killer? YES PLEASE.
The plot was definitely awesome and unlike anything I’ve ever read before. The
different universes were so cool and different and they were just so exciting
to read about, I just couldn’t wait to see where she would go next! The storyline
of this one definitely doesn’t disappoint! It’s fast-paced and interesting the
entire way through!
Characters: ★★★★.5
The characters were all very well written, but I feel
as though something was missing. They were all too perfect. I don’t even know
how to explain it but I wish we could have delved deeper into some of the
characters! Also, what kind of name is Marguerite??????? Totally unnecessary weird, unpronounceable name.
Writing: ★★★★.5
I was so hesitant going into this one
because I had honestly heard awful things about Claudia Gray’s writing, but I
was so surprised at how well written this was! It was intriguing the entire way
through and the plot was executed in such an exciting and interesting way. It
wasn’t perfect, but it certainly was up there!
Romance/Feels: ★★★★
This is one thing that doesn’t sit well with me. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED the romance, but one thing that the main character did I just can’t get over. It was awful and selfish and I felt as though she just all of a sudden had decided she was in love with one of the characters. I’m still feeling a little uneasy about this one. BUT THAT LOVE SCENE THOUGH. AM I RIGHT?

Ending: ★★★★.5
I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE WHERE THIS WILL GO. What a great and surprising ending! I definitely didn’t see the plot twists coming!
Overall Enjoyment: ★★★★.5
A fantastic start to a new trilogy! It was definitely an exciting and fast-paced read! I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a good sci-fi without too much of the technical stuff!
Rereadability: Of course!
Final Rating: 4.5 stars!
