Goodreads Summary:
If high school is all about social status, Indigo Blackwood has it made. Sure, her quirky mom owns an occult shop, and a nerd just won’t stop trying to be her friend, but Indie is a popular cheerleader with a football-star boyfriend and a social circle powerful enough to ruin everyone at school. Who wouldn’t want to be her?
Then a guy dies right before her eyes. And the dusty old family Bible her mom is freakishly possessive of is stolen. But it’s when a frustratingly sexy stranger named Bishop enters Indie’s world that she learns her destiny involves a lot more than pom-poms and parties. If she doesn’t get the Bible back, every witch on the planet will die. And that’s seriously bad news for Indie, because according to Bishop, she’s a witch too.
Suddenly forced into a centuries-old war between witches and sorcerers, Indie’s about to uncover the many dark truths about her life—and a future unlike any she ever imagined on top of the cheer pyramid.

This was so much fun!!! It follows a teenage cheerleader in high school as strange things start happening after her mum's weird witch bible has been stolen. What a roller coaster ride! The great thing about this book is that it reads like a contemporary, so if you're looking for a high fantasy book, this isn't the book for you. This book was so enjoyable I couldn't put it down! One thing that people are saying that are disappointed with is the lack of magic in the book, and I have to disagree! I think there was just the right amount to start up the series and I don't think it was all that important in the grand scheme of things. The storyline doesn't allow for Indigo to have much time to actually practice magic or anything because crazy stuff keeps happening to her!

This is very character based. I really liked how Indigo grew as a character throughout the book. She starts off quite unlikeable and stuck up, but she realises that she doesn't want to be like her ex-best friend anymore. She wants to hang out with people who actually care about her. This definitely had some excellent character development and growth and I loved reading about it.

The love interest was so cool and different! He always wears a leather jacket no matter how hot it is outside and he's so witty and snarky and it's just so great I actually have goofy grins on my face! I can't wait to see where their relationship will go!
The storyline itself was really action packed and something was always happening! This was another thing that made me keep reading, there really wasn't a dull moment in the story at all!

If you're looking for a fun, fast paced witchy book, then look no further! This is it and I can't wait to see where Michelle Krys goes with the next book! Amazing!
